Marshall Shipley joins AutoBI as Head of Acquisition and Success

AutoBI has announced the appointment of Marshall Shipley as the company’s new Head of Acquisition and Success – a role that will see Marshall take responsibility for the growth of AutoBI’s customer base and the management of relationships with new and existing clients.

Marshall has spent over 15 years in the automotive industry, joining a workshop straight from school as an apprentice technician and very quickly working his way up through the ranks of MOT tester to workshop controller before moving over into the sales department to pursue his ambition of running his own dealership.

Marshall’s rapid progression continued as his became Business Manager and Sales Manager for BMW, before joining Audi where he became New Car Manager and then achieving his goal of becoming a General Sales Manager.

His diverse experience has given Marshall a holistic overview of how dealerships operate and it is this that Marshall feels will be his biggest asset in his new role at AutoBI. He explains: “In this industry, credibility is everything. When I’m going out and talking to customers about AutoBI, I can give them real insight into how the product will work in their business because I’ve lived every part of it. I’ve done everything from sweeping the workshop floor right up to running a dealership’s finances and breaking records as a successful General Sales Manager. There isn’t a part of running an automotive retailer that I don’t understand so I am uniquely placed to be able to demonstrate the real benefits of AutoBI at every level.

“When you’re running a dealership, it’s nonstop. There is always something to do, and you’re time poor – you’re always chasing your tail trying to get the data you need quickly so you can make business decisions and evaluate performance.
